Go Green with CD emulation software
I found virtual CD emulation software useful because I can avoid using blank CDs for ISO images that I download.
For testing purposes, I frequently need to download many ISO images. Recently I had to download Microsoft Visio from MSDN Academic Alliance. And I also download Linux ISO images as well frequently.
With CD emulation software, I can create a virtual CD drive and avo
id using a blank CD.
There are several free CD emulation software programs that you can download from download.com. They are not open source program, just free programs.
I tried to use virtual CD program in the past but found it is not user friendly. Recently I downloaded and installed WinCDemu program and found it useful for my work.
It is quite easy to use this software program. You can download the software program at download.com. Once the program is installed, one can right click at the ISO image to see the shortcut menu. Then, choose “Select drive letter & mount”.
Once you click OK, you will see a CD drive of V: in your My Computer.
